We are celebrating 9 years of Sienna Lynn Studio over here!

This time of year I reflect back and so many memories flash through my mind. I clearly remember the excitement (and fear) of leaving the large corporate architecture & design world to start my own business. The passion to create unique commercial spaces, and the desire to connect directly with clients, led me on this journey. 

I love that every project is unique. Every day is different. It's the creative challenges and the people along the way (contractors, venders, reps, clients, and friends) that make my job extremely rewarding. 

Each week I continue into the unknown just like I did nine years ago, but now the fear is replaced with confidence, while the excitement continues. Can't wait to see what this year brings.

People often ask about the name of my interior design business. Here are a few fun-facts behind the origin of Sienna Lynn Studio.

A color. 
The paint tubes of sienna (raw and burnt sienna) are used in almost every painting that I've done. A trick I learned from one of my painting professors in collage: adding sienna while mixing the paints, creates a similar undertone to the finished artwork.

A name. 
As a mom of 3 boys, this name was not selected for those babies, however I chose it for my other baby -- my business. The year was 2009 and I followed my intuition to leave the corporate world (during the recession!) and begin a new journey. The unknown. Sienna Lynn Studio was launched to focus on my passions: helping people + design.  Connecting with individuals and companies who understand that design can impact their business in so many amazing ways. 

A place.
Siena is located in Italy, central Tuscany. I daydream of a future trip to Italy. The same year that I started Sienna Lynn Studio, I made a promise to myself that I would visit Siena for my 50th birthday. I was in my early thirties and this seemed like an eternity away, but this vision would make me smile during all the ups and downs of starting a business as a single mom. Now a family of five and only 10 years away!

A favorite choice for red. Looking forward to many more years with Sienna Lynn Studio and continuing the unknown of each day.

Which one is right for you?
Every project is tailor-made based for the client's budget, schedule, and style. The scope is determined based on the needs of the person or business.  For example, a new construction build-out or remodel suits a growing company.  Architectural plans are created and go out for bid by contractors.

For some spaces, a renovation or simple re-design can transform the interior. (Think: fresh paint colors, update layout, furniture, or decor)

During the design consultation, we determine the goals for the space and Sienna Lynn Studio provides a clear summary for the project.  The result: a custom solution to improve the aesthetic and function of your interior space.  

And the best part?  We handle all of it for you!  Space plans, architectural finishes, furniture selection and coordination, construction administration and project management...

At the Bloomington job site, the new office build-out is going well.  Looking forward to seeing the progress as this transforms into a Scandinavian-inspired workspace!
